about

------ About this album ------
This is the 7th album of Cantrash with putting forward the notion of "C'n'C", namely "Can and Can" and contained with some experiments for that.

The notion above is one of the modified DnB (i.e. Drum'n'Bass) styles. "D" comes into "C" and "B" does so. The instruments used in any track in this album is only a long metal trash can. Moreover, the original raw tracks recorded without overdubbing. Then also "D" and "B" are implemented by only "C"!
The percussive sounds come from the attack of the can; the bass, lead and drone sounds made from the sustain of can hits by some effects. So each track made from one take of playing trash can (w/ some effects).

Now, what's the DnB? I don't know. Which parts are listened as DnB songs in concrete DnB tracks by us? What do we want in DnB's?

Some parts of roles of the album are
- helping to search for something what we've felt like DnB by using a nonstandard instrument, without standard ones or ways,
- expanding the potential of DnB, and being fount of ideas for making DnB tracks or neighbors of those for creators,
- experiment to get cool sounds from metal trash cans
- showing the potential of trash cans as musical instruments.

The raw tracks are played as learning and practicing DnB phrases when I have begun to listen to DnB songs: Sep 2017, just before the Rahabibitation Live (cantrash.bandcamp.com/album/rehabilitation-live-at-midnight-rr-sep-2017-ep). These are poor but sufficient to GO playing those roles. So, in this album you can listen so many unsophisticated play on the can.

------ Acknowledgement ------
The notion of CnC was born in Sep-Oct 2017 under the big compilation.

A half years ago Cantrash joined the compilation, "架空神話コンピ" (Compilation For Fictional Mythology) organized by ただの鯨 (twitter: @K_tadano0108) at the section silva, which recommending genre is DnB.
At that time, the 31th track CnC #1 was submitted to the section.

First, Cantrash was gonig to submit a Rav Vast based DnB track, but the instrument was too expensive for him and the shipping date was too late, so it was abandoned.
Second, he was going to use HAPI Drum, it is more inexpensive and more early shipping. However, the arrival date was too late for him. We must note that he is a Japanese yellow hard worker, so he has no time to composing, practicing and recording!
Third, he suggested himself, how are the tracks recorded in practicing DnB pattern on the metal trash can?
Then the third was done.

That is why, Cantrash thanks ただの鯨 and many complicated situations.
